Abe has been in the financial services business for 18 years. He has been a member of the Million Dollar Round Table, an organization consisting of insurance and financial professionals who hold high standards for ethics and customer service in the industry, for the past 10 years.
In 2008, Abe founded Abich Financial Services to help families prepare for their financial future. With a background in comprehensive financial strategies, he has implemented ways to help protect his clients from volatile and risky financial strategies while helping them grow their retirement income.
Abe has helped hundreds of individuals, families, and small-business owners in the D.C. metro area prepare for a sound financial future. Focusing on retirement income strategies, he works with those preparing for and already in retirement to find solutions to help them enjoy their retirement years.
Abe earned his Bachelor of Science in business marketing from Liberty University, where he was also a pitcher for their Division I baseball team.
Serving the community, Abe and AFS are active members of and volunteers for the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce, the Autism Society of Northern Virginia, the Future Fund, the Youth Leadership Foundation, and McLean Bible Church. Abe also currently serves on the board of Loudoun Habitat for Humanity.
In August 2015, Abe married his wife, Shelly, and they became proud Leesburg residents. In their spare time, they enjoy visiting local wineries, biking, traveling, and attending Redskins and Nationals games.
Shelly Abich joined Abich Financial Services in 2015 and serves as the client services manager, networking at company events and various organizations within the community to spread the word about how AFS can help people prepare for a better-protected retirement. She connects prospective clients with the company, is responsible for all scheduling and follow-up communication, and works to maintain the satisfaction of current clients by scheduling annual reviews and other needed meetings. Lastly, Shelly manages the social media accounts and writes regular newsletters for AFS.
Shelly has 10 years of experience as a new business specialist for Computer Sciences Corporation, where she worked to obtain large government contracts. Due to her passion for helping others, she earned a master’s degree in human sciences/gerontology and worked as a client services director, bridging psychological services and senior communities. She is also a certified secondary English teacher and, prior to joining AFS, enjoyed two years teaching Lab 21, a “real-world” skills course, to middle school students.
Shelly is originally from Frederick, Maryland, and she and Abe are new residents of Leesburg, Virginia. She is an avid yoga practitioner who loves outdoor activities and following an organic lifestyle.
Angela Mari has been part of the Abich Financial Services team since 2015. As a Licensed Financial Professional, she focuses on building retirement profiles during first appointments in preparation for the retirement analyses delivered during the appointments. Angela also manages our marketing campaigns as well as live events and webinars.
Angela lives in Reston, VA, where she enjoys spending time outdoors and touring the NoVa foodie scene. As a female financial professional, she is passionate about creating financial resources geared towards the unique needs of women approaching or in retirement.
Patrick joined Abich Financial with over 27 years of experience as a financial advisor and educator. He has worked both independently and for major firms such as Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch, Financial Engines, and Fisher Investments. Patrick has presented countless seminars, written numerous articles, and managed $250 million in portfolios. Having worked with half of the Fortune 500 companies’ executive and general populations, he has presented on and guided them through taxes, estate planning, investments and corporate benefits.
Patrick holds a BA in economics from Siena College in Loudonville, NY. In his free time, Patrick is an avid movie fan and loves to dissect films both new and old. He and his wife, Brenda, have five children and currently reside in Ashburn, VA.
Sera joined Abich Financial in the fall of 2020 with a background in case management and client services from non-profit organizations. She goes above and beyond to create a seamless experience for both the team and the clients at Abich Financial. Sera majored in business administration at Excelsior College in NY. She is originally from Sri Lanka and enjoys the simple things in life like reading a good book or spending time with family and friends.
