Founder & CEO

Abe has been in the financial services business for 15 years. He has been a member of the Million Dollar Round Table, an organization consisting of insurance and financial professionals who hold high standards for ethics and customer service in the industry, for the past ten years.

Abe founded Abich Financial Services in 2008 to help families prepare for their financial future. With a background in comprehensive financial strategies, Abe has implemented ways to help protect his clients from volatile and risky financial strategies while helping them grow their retirement income.

Abe has helped hundreds of individuals, families, and small-business owners in the D.C. metro area prepare for a sound financial future. Focusing on retirement income strategies, Abe works with those preparing for and already in retirement to find solutions to help them enjoy their retirement years.


Abe earned his Bachelor of Science at Liberty University in business marketing, where he also was a pitcher for their Division I baseball team. Abe is currently studying for two advanced designations in financial services (the CFS and CAS) and expects to complete them in 2017.

Abe and AFS are very active in the community. They are active members and volunteers of the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce, the Autism Society of Northern Virginia, the Future Fund, the Youth Leadership Foundation, and McLean Bible Church. Abe also currently serves on the board for Loudoun Habitat for Humanity.

In August 2015, Abe married his wife, Shelly, and they became proud Leesburg residents. In their spare time, they enjoy visiting local wineries, biking, traveling, and attending Redskins and Nationals games.

Client Services Manager & Co-Owner

Shelly Abich joined Abich Financial Services in 2015 and serves as the client services manager. In this role, Shelly networks at company events and various organizations within the community to spread the word about how AFS can help people prepare for a better-protected retirement. She connects prospective clients with the company and is responsible for all scheduling and follow-up communication. She also works to maintain the satisfaction of current clients by scheduling annual reviews and other needed meetings. Lastly, Shelly maintains the social media and writes regular newsletters for AFS.


Shelly has 10 years of experience as a new business specialist for Computer Sciences Corporation, where she worked to obtain large government contracts. Due to her passion for helping others, she earned a master’s degree in human sciences/gerontology and worked as a client services director, bridging psychological services and senior communities. She is also a certified secondary English teacher and, prior to joining AFS, enjoyed two years teaching Lab 21, a “real-world” skills course, to middle school students.

Shelly is originally from Frederick, Maryland, and she and Abe are new residents of Leesburg, Virginia. She is an avid yoga practitioner who loves outdoor activities and following an organic lifestyle.

Parker Grant
Case Manager

Amy Parker Grant is the case manager at Abich Financial Services. Upon submission of policy applications, Amy is the point of contact for all clients regarding application statuses, underwriting requirements, banking and policy transfers, changes to policies, and any other questions about policy applications and maintenance.

Before joining AFS, Amy began her insurance career in Atlanta, Georgia, at a family-owned brokerage general agency. An opportunity to move out west led Amy to a wonderful, custom-fit position with an insurance carrier whose known concentration is on high net worth and affluent clients.

Amy’s knowledge base in insurance has expanded from case management to include marketing. Being able to bridge case management and marketing has been an invaluable asset.

Amy grew up in Washington, D.C., and attended Syracuse University before transferring to the University of Virginia, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts. She recently moved back to D.C., after living in Hawaii, Georgia, and California, so that her son could enjoy a relationship with his grandparents.

Client Services Representative
READ Angela's BIO

Angela Mari is a client services representative at Abich Financial Services. Having been with the company since 2015, you may know her from her work as a case manager. Now, she has transitioned into our Client Services department to support the growth of AFS. Angela is the point of contact for scheduling annual reviews and wants to encourage all clients to come in yearly to review existing contracts and any financial or personal changes that may warrant some adjustments. She also reaches out to each client personally in preparation for every appointment.

Before joining AFS, Angela worked in private practice management for seven years. She is currently in her final months of completing her master’s degree and is also a small-business owner who takes pride in aligning herself with and supporting the AFS vision.

Angela was born in New York but has spent most of her life in Maryland, with some time in Chattanooga, Tennessee; Valencia, Spain; and Fort Myers, Florida. She moved to Reston, Virginia in 2017 and can’t get enough of the bike trails and walking paths!

Client Services Representative

Jae Choi is a client services representative at Abich Financial Services. Currently, Jae ensures that all listeners who call into the Retirement Key Radio show on WMAL get connected with Abich Financial in a timely fashion. He is responsible for scheduling all prospective clients and follow-up communication with those who request to have a “Where Do I Stand Plan.”

Jae has over 11 years of experience in corporate and government finance, focusing on financial, budget, and data analysis. He is eager to learn more about helping families to prepare for and secure their financial future. Jae currently holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and Management. He has spent most of his life in Virginia and currently resides in Dulles South with his wife and two boys.

Client Relations Associate

Zack Visco joined Abich Financial Services as a client relations associate in February 2018. Zack creates the best experience he can for clients by preparing “Where Do I Stand” reports and financial illustrations, informing clients of updates, and scheduling appointments.

Before joining Abich Financial Services, he worked at Morgan Stanley in the Tyson’s Corner branch and was a project manager at a Northern Virginia construction company.

Zack attended Virginia Tech, where he received his Bachelor of Science and played Division I rugby. He grew up in Great Falls and has lived in Ashburn, Virginia, for the past 20 years. In his free time, Zack coaches fourth- and fifth-grade flag football.
