Midyear Check-In: Are You Still on Track?

As we reach the halfway point of the year, June is a natural time to pause and evaluate where things stand financially. Life changes quickly, and retirement planning is rarely a “set it and forget it” process. Market conditions, tax laws, healthcare costs, and personal priorities can all shift over time, making regular reviews an important part of long-term planning.

Midyear is a great opportunity to revisit a few key questions:
– Has anything changed in my financial situation or retirement goals this year?
– Am I still comfortable with my current investment and income strategy?
– Have recent market or economic changes affected my long-term plan?
– Am I preparing appropriately for taxes, healthcare, and future income needs?

A thoughtful review can help identify areas that may need adjustment and provide greater clarity for the road ahead.

💬 Money Talk With Abe
Understanding Retirement Income Distribution

One of the biggest transitions in retirement planning is moving from saving money to creating a strategy for distributing it. Questions like when to withdraw, how much to take, and which accounts to draw from first can all play an important role in your long-term financial picture.

As you think about retirement income planning, consider:
✅ Do I have a clear strategy for how retirement income will be generated?
✅ Have I considered the tax impact of different withdrawal strategies?
✅ Am I balancing income needs with long-term portfolio sustainability?
✅ Do I understand how Social Security timing may affect my broader plan?

A thoughtful distribution strategy can help create greater structure and flexibility throughout retirement.

Giving Back to Our Community

At Abich Financial, serving the community goes beyond financial planning. On June 9th, members of our team partnered with Tree of Life Ministries at the Sterling Community Center to help provide a warm meal and meaningful connection to individuals and families in need.

Together, we served Chick-fil-A meals including grilled chicken wraps, nuggets, sandwiches, salads, mac and cheese, fruit, desserts, sweet tea, and lemonade. The evening also included a prayer led by Tree of Life Ministries and an opportunity to sit, talk, and share time with members of the community.

We’re grateful for organizations like Tree of Life Ministries and for the opportunity to support meaningful efforts that bring people together and serve those in need.
